A Typical Paris Affair
Words and music by John Allee

Come, let’s go for a walk
It’s a wonderful day
On this big city block
By the Champs-Elysée
Taking Paris by storm
May’s much warmer than April
Cars driving circles around the gendarmes
Get distracted by you on my arm
And the tourists all gawk when we walk

Past Rue de Berri
Where the smell of baguettes
Gets us hungry to be
With the jet-set at Fouquet's

Make a bet who you'll see
After lunch for a lark
On a hunch, hit the park
With the gardens in bloom everywhere
Then head back to our room for
A typical Paris affair
And as for Paris
It’ll still be there

After lunch for a lark
On a hunch, hit the park
With the gardens in bloom everywhere
Then head back to our room for
A typical Paris affair
And as for Paris

Paris

Paris
It’ll still be there
